Shakima is a proud graduate of Fayetteville Technical Community College, where she earned her associate’s in fine arts visual arts degree May 2024, specializing in mixed media, painting, drawing, and sculpture. She is fully accredited with a Professional Child Psychology Diploma and a Therapeutic Art Life Coach Certification. Driven by a passion for making a difference, Shakima uses her artistic talents to empower children, helping them discover their unique voices through creativity.

In addition to her artistic endeavors, Shakima is actively involved in praise dancing, ministry work, and leading youth programs. She finds joy in uncovering beauty in everyday life and invites viewers to see her art as a narrative. Shakima's artwork often features Afro-centric themes and vibrant watercolors, reflecting her diverse interests.

Looking ahead, Shakima aspires to become an Art Therapist, dedicated to providing a means of expression for those who struggle to convey their feelings with words. Through her art, she aims to give a voice to the voiceless and inspire others to appreciate the stories within her creations.
