I would like to introduce myself, I am David Whitley and was born and raised in Wilkes, NC. From the small age of 5 when Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles came out, I have had a passion for all things Karate. My training began later in life than most. I began my training in June of 2018 at the age of 34. I believe that it is never too late to pursue your passion. After much determination, I progressed through the ranks and on December 20, 2022, I achieved the rank of 1st Dan Black Belt under the tutelage of Master Jon Olmsted.

As a father of two, (who are also in Karate as 3rd Degree Purple Belts), I believe that children are our future and that the investment in their journey to excellence is one that will never fall void. Karate provides core values that children need to be successful adults. Respect, honor, confidence, self-esteem, and bravery, are the keys to success. I am honored to be part of your child's journey to greatness and the opportunity to be their instructor. Let us all succeed together in the journey of life.
